DWP programme payment a complete scandal - Foster

11.26.15am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 9th Sep 2008

Commenting on reports the Department for Work and Pensions is negotiating with ITV about spending £400,000 on a TV programme fronted by Jeremy Kyle, Liberal Democrat Shadow Culture, Media and Sport Secretary, Don Foster said: "It’s a complete scandal that public funds are being wasted on commercial programmes that appear to be little more than political propaganda. Not only is the Labour era of spin alive and well under the Brown government, it’s positively thriving."
